Prudns ("proo-dens") weaves her deepest feelings into self-made, vibrant ᴇᴛʜᴇʀᴇᴀʟ ˗ˏˋᴘᴏᴘˎˊ˗A true DIY artist, everything you hear is written, produced, and recorded by her. With over 25 songs released independently since 2021, and multiple collaborations, Prudns is a highly prolific artist who taps into the core of human emotions. Her latest song 'lifeline' is built from a 6-year-old beat and brought to life through a fully improvised vocal. The track is raw, unresolved, and emotionally immersive, pulling listeners straight into the hard-to-describe feeling of when memories resurface.Writing songs since the age of 8, Prudns first felt the pull towards music after watching 'Walk the Line', about the music of Johnny Cash. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, she began producing her own beats as an experiment, which quickly evolved into an obsession.Influenced by artists like Oklou and Caroline Polachek, Prudns continues to build her unique sonic world—blurring the lines between improvisation, pop, and poetry.Committed to helping artists build sustainable and holistic creative paths, Prudns founded Open Tracks—a program supporting music producers to share their work and build authentic connections beyond traditional industry settings. Open Tracks has been supported by MusicACT, allowing local artists to access the workshops for free. Her work has been recognised through the Women in Music Mentor Program, APRA AMCOS 321 Sessions, Airlock Studios Immersive Program, and a residency at 4000 Studios. She was a finalist for the Upstart Award, a semi-finalist in the Listen Up Songwriting Prize, and most recently completed MusicACT’s Open Studios Program.☆ Based on Ngunnawal/Ngambri Country in Canberra.contact: [email protected]
